Crowe was an Army veteran of World War II, receiving the American Theater Service Ribbon. A retired 29-year employee of the Aluminum Company of America, Mr. Born in Lonaconing on March 23, 1903, he was the son of the late Thornton J. LONACONING - Olin Murphy Crowe, 84, of 1064 Merwin Road, Upper Burrell, Pa., died March 28 in the emergency room of Citizens General Hospital, New Kensington, Pa., after being stricken at his residence. By his request there will be no services. He served in the Navy from 1942 until his retirement in 1972. He has made his home in Costa Mesa, CA since 1963. Commander Crowe was born in Eckhart Mines, MD. He is survived by his wife Shirley 3 sons, Douglas, Richard and Jeffry 2 daughters, Carol Ann Vivier and Cheryl Tucker 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter mother-in-law Frieda A.
